For more information, click here. Role reports to: Manager Location: Asia Pacific, Japan, Tokyo-To, Shibuya Work Location: Hybrid What you will do 1. Responsible for the development of DCL packaging, aligned to the regional and global segment strategies for superior consumer experience. 2. Support on packaging development for other SH&B brand (Aveeno, Neutrogena) in APAC region 3. Accountable for primary and secondary packaging component specification robustness, accuracy, and completeness. 4. Delivers projects with quality; compliance with company requirement; compiles and analyses data, identifies causes, draws conclusions, generates reports. Escalate business, technical trouble and critical decision-making requirement in time manner. 5. Demonstrates ability to prioritize multiple rapidly changing priorities & ability to be on top of critical programs, ensuring flawless execution. 6. Partners with the cross-functional team to lead new package development based on consumer insights, delivering the targeted consumer benefit and key claims, while meeting cost targets. 7. Brings an external perspective by identifying, evaluating and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging. 8. Stay aware of supplier and competitor new developments and highlight to appropriate management as needed. 9. Improve DCL packaging specification system by following Kenvue global directions. 10. Develop packaging by following company sustainability commitment. 11. Recommend better way of working to drive delivering quality and efficiency with collaborative and can-do spirit. Experience & Education 1. Required: 3+ years’ experience in Packaging, preferably in Cosmetic/Beauty Care industry. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, Chemical Science, Polymer Science or a related science field is required, advanced degree is preferred. 3. Preferred experience in CPG/FMCG. Key Capabilities 1. Knowledge and Expertise of wide variety of packaging technologies such as injection and blow molding, flexible film, glass bottle, tube, decoration, etc. 2. Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skill to manage projects across countries. 3. Strong focus on sustainability. 4. Proficient in digital tools for packaging development, such as 3D CAD, modeling and simulation. 5. Data savvy – ability to use data, insights & analytics to support perspectives. 6. Strong experimental skill and problem-solving skill. 7. Ability to communicate across the organization, including succinctly communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and business partners. 8. Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional partners to develop & implement programs. Can inspire and enroll teams in a vision. 9. Managing ambiguity – can make decisions and recommendations in the face of uncertainty, under line manager’s coach. 10. Comfortable in making presentations, speaking ability and interpersonal skills. 11. Business acumen – understand trends, technology and information impacting the business and organization; knows how the business and competition works.
