We are looking for an experienced Senior Packaging Designer to join the team. This is an important role as part of the New Product Development team and reports directly to the Director of Packaging and Retail Creative. The role combines hands-on design execution with project and process management, including ownership of the packaging critical path.
You should be highly creative and be able to demonstrate excellent layout, typography and art direction skills. You’ll bring both strategic design thinking and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring our packaging is not only beautifully designed but also delivered on time and to spec.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 5+ years’ in a packaging design role, ideally within consumer product, FMCG, beauty, lifestyle, or retail.
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating excellence in structural and graphic design, across multiple formats and materials.
  • Strong understanding of packaging print processes, materials, sustainability considerations, and production constraints.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft 365 Suite; knowledge of 3D mock-up software (KeyShot) and/or CAD tools an advantage.
  • Proven experience managing complex design projects and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator, capable of presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.
Responsibilities
  • Creative & Design:
  • Execute your own packaging design projects from initial concept through to final artwork, including photography planning, styling and art direction of all packaging photography/image creation, retouching of imagery and creation of final packaging artwork to set guidelines and high standards.
  • Develop compelling structural and graphic design solutions that reflect brand positioning, category needs, and consumer insights; present designs as highly finished 3D mockups and/or renders of packaging for review/approval
  • Collaborate closely with brand, product, and marketing teams to align packaging design with broader business goals.
  • Work with global suppliers, printers, and external partners to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
  • Project Management & Organisation:
  • Own and manage the packaging design critical path, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.
  • Help plan meetings with cross-functional departments to ensure reviews happen on time, notes are taken, and follow-up actions are assigned; help coordinate all photography production requirements across the wider packaging team.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, NPD, operations, legal) and external vendors to track artwork signoffs, regulatory approvals, and production deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and project documentation, including asset libraries, artwork files, and version control.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Mentor and guide junior designers or freelancers as needed.
  • Champion best practices in packaging design and production.
  • Be a key point of contact between design and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery.
  • Support other areas of the 2D team creating designs and imagery for product catalogues, POS, exhibitions, adverts and promotional material to support the sales team etc. as required
