The Level 4 Pain and Rheumatology Physiotherapist is responsible for providing high quality pain management services for patients referred and admitted to Liverpool Hospital’s Tier 3 Pain Management Service and to Rheumatology. Responsibilities include consultation and education, across the LHD and extending into primary care, in the specialised assessment and treatment of chronic pain. This includes but not limited to rheumatologic, musculoskeletal, neurological and orthopaedic conditions.
This position is responsible for specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision in the Department of Pain Medicine and Rheumatology, and works autonomously and with multiple service providers in a specialised multidisciplinary team. This includes service development and evaluation and advanced reasoning and clinical practice skillsin the management of clients of a novel or complex nature, as well as providing consultation and education across the SWSLHD in specialized assessment and treatment of clients. This position is responsible for the teaching and training of Level 3 and 1/2 Physiotherapists, and students.
