You’ll be based across our Queenstown and Wānaka branches, empowering a dynamic team of full-service Bankers to embody BNZ’s values. You’ll proactively build connections and relationships within the local community driving new business for both consumer and small business customers. What does a day in the life of an Area Branch Manager look like? Drive the overall performance of your branch through coaching and mentoring, leadership, and direction. Ensuring meaningful, consistent, and engaging customer experience to every BZN customer. Lead collaboration between the Branch/Partner/Private network to ensure a co-ordinated approach to market opportunities in the region and wider Retail Network. Working in consultation with the Head of Branch/Region, to develop and implement annual business plans which facilitate the achievement of the team, financial and business targets. What attributes will this person have in order to be successful? We are looking for a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills, who can challenge the status quo to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of the team. You will bring: In depth knowledge of financial products and services, along with strong technical capability and understanding of Banking systems. Leadership experience, previous success developing, coaching and managing staff performance. A proven track record of communicating and delivering great customer outcomes, to role model behaviours to your Team. Ability to effectively address challenging situations through strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proven experience of holding accountability for risk and compliance.
