QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Pavement Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or any related technical field.
  • 6 years of experience in pavement engineering and/or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Registered professional engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Valid class G Ontario license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has, had or, is able to acquire/qualify in the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario (MTO) Registry Appraisal and Qualifications system (RAQs) to provide services for pavement engineering in all categories.
  • High level of proficiency in all pavement engineering software such as DARWin, AASHTOWare Pavement ME and StreetPave 12.
  • 10 years specialized experience in pavement engineering with MTO (in particular in Medium and High Complexity Pavement Design).
  • Experience in team leading is an asset
  • Pavement Engineering Laboratory set up experience is an asset
Responsibilities

AECOM is seeking a qualified Pavement Engineering to join our Ontario team.

As a member of our team, your responsibilities would be the following:

  • Assist or act as the lead pavement engineer and/or project manager for pavement engineering and/or pavement management projects for a wide variety of public and private sector clients.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, utilities, agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership through technical supervision and mentoring of junior team members.
  • Provide relevant feedback and instructions to team members and relevant updates to clients.
  • Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and objectives.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings.
  • Plan, organize, and carry out pavement evaluations and investigations.
  • Write and review/approve reports and specifications and make presentations.
  • Preparing technical reports, including technical specifications, pavement design reports.
  • Completion of complex pavement analysis of all pavement types (flexible, rigid, composite, surface treatment, and granular),
  • Assist other Project Managers in preparing field documentation and organizing field activities.
  • Perform quality control/quality assurance of field work, field data analysis and interpretation, and engineering calculations.
  • Perform review of pavement engineering analysis, designs, performance data, and reports.
  • Assist other team members with the preparation of proposals and expressions of interest considering the methodology for undertaking potential projects.
  • Other office and/or offsite activities, as required.
