Independently coordinate and ensure the accurate and timely monthly payroll process for Germany and Austria, working closely with external payroll providers.
Take responsibility for all payroll tax and social security-related matters, including variable compensation, bonuses, special payments, and taxable benefits.
Act as a key interface between HR Business Partners, Finance, external service providers, and tax advisors, including support for international topics such as expatriates.
Participate in payroll and HR projects, internal controls, audits, and continuous process and system improvements.
Collaborate with international colleagues and serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on payroll and related HR matters.
Profile
Completed commercial/business qualification, ideally supplemented with training in payroll administration or a comparable qualification.
Several years of practical payroll experience and strong knowledge of German payroll tax and social security regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Google Workspace and SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage.
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with excellent self-management skills.
Strong customer-service mindset, communication skills, and ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Fluent German and good English skills for working in an international environment.
Hybrid working model with a requirement to be present at the Hamburg office three days per week.
