THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Finance professionals play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and cutting-edge solutions for the world’s leading aerospace company. We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to support our centralised payroll function and perform end to end payroll processing using both Aurion and Peoplesoft.
This role is based in Brisbane.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualifications in Payroll, Accounting or similar is desirable
  • 10+ years experience in processing complex end to end payroll
  • 10+ years experience in the EOFY payroll process
  • Experience in Aurion or PeopleSoft, desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and excel skills
  • Strive for results and process improvement
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation

Responsibilities
  • Running end to end payroll, for 3,500+ across 6 entities
  • Action payroll requests promptly and accurately such as new hires, exits and changes
  • Run fortnightly payroll process, variance checks and reconciliation of EFT
  • Administer setup of new superannuation funds and reconcile payments
  • Reconcile payroll reports fortnightly after each payroll run and monthly
  • Provide mentoring and support to the payroll team
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline and simplify payroll processes
