Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Analyst with advanced Microsoft Excel expertise to design, audit, and maintain complex payroll calculation spreadsheets. This role involves handling payroll calculations including retroactive pay, tax withholdings, deductions, and employer contributions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating payroll policies into accurate and transparent Excel models. Key Responsibilities Design and develop advanced Excel-based payroll calculation spreadsheets from scratch Calculate retroactive pay (retros) across multiple pay periods Apply and validate federal, state, and local payroll tax withholdings Model payroll scenarios including pre-tax and post-tax deductions, employer contributions, and adjustments Utilize advanced Excel functions such as nested formulas, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF/IFS, and pivot tables Audit existing payroll spreadsheets for errors, inconsistencies, and compliance risks Document payroll calculation logic, assumptions, and methodologies clearly Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to validate calculations and requirements Ensure spreadsheets are accurate, scalable, auditable, and user-friendly Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and financial data Qualifications Required Qualifications Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proven experience creating and managing payroll calculation spreadsheets Strong knowledge of payroll tax concepts, withholding calculations, and gross-to-net payroll processing Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to explain complex payroll calculations in clear, simple terms Experience handling sensitive and confidential financial information Additional Information Why Join Us?
