DH Pace Company, Inc. will hire an experienced Multi-State Payroll Processing Coordinator at our Corporate office in Olathe, KS. Minimum five (5) years of related multi-state payroll experience, UKG (formerly UltiPro) and ADP software experience preferred. Ensure payroll procedures are compliant, efficient, and current.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Assist in processing and oversite of weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing with a strong understanding of Federal and State laws as they relate to both income tax withholding and labor regulations
  • Follow and/or develop systems to process payroll account transactions; i.e., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems and oversee processing of payroll changes; i.e., new hires, terminations, and maintain accurate records and prepare and run reports in UKG (formerly UltiPro) HRIS system
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Work with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams; resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
  • Prepare and issue manual checks and same day wire transfers as required
  • Prepare required monthly, quarterly and annual reports including, year-end and tax reconciliation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five (5) years of related multi-state payroll experience preferred with familiarity of payroll software/ HRIS (i.e., UKG [formerly UltiPro], SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field preferred; will also consider equivalent payroll department experience coupled with high school diploma; CPP certification encouraged
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws with an excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical and math skills
  • Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, and drug screen required in advance of hire
