Responsibilities

THE ROLE OF THE SENIOR PAYROLL OFFICER

  • Process monthly payroll including pensions uploads, FPS and EPS processing
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations e.g. Tax/HMRC
  • Year End processes; ensure all year end processes are complete e.g. holiday, tax
  • Processing all payroll changes (new starters, leavers, overtime, SMP, SSP, etc)
  • Preparing all necessary reports from the payroll and HR systems, running the payroll calculations and preparation of the BACs payments
  • Supporting the team with the completion of the on-boarding process, monitoring and reporting on the submission of all new starter paperwork
  • Produce regular or ad hoc data and reports, as required or requested
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payroll systems and processes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE OF SENIOR PAYROLL OFFICER

  • Extensive payroll experience with excellent technical skills
  • Experience of developing and implementing payroll software
  • HR administration and accounts administration experience is preferred, but not essential
