Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Senior Payroll Specialist will be to accurately and timely process payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and company regulations. Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data Processing weekly Payroll for Exempt and Non-Exempt Employees Processing final checks Sets up and reconciles garnishments Data Management- collect, enter, and maintain accurate employee payroll information Resolve complex payroll issues Handling direct deposit requests and data Audit timesheets and others to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies Timecard corrections Making a department change in timesheets Organizes payroll information to respond to periodic audits and external reporting requirements. Issue and record adjustment to pay related to previous errors on retroactive increase, and request retro checks Otter duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local legal requirements. Utilizes computer applications such as HRIS. Ability to develop a team to meet objectives and adapt to growth, innovation, and change. Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work; sense of urgency and willingness to be hands-on with tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and solid understanding of technology to be more efficient. Detail-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills. Education and Experience: Five years or more of professional experience. Professional certification and/or further education are a plus.
