JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for all employees. This role manages end-to-end payroll administration, maintains payroll records, and partners with HR and Finance to ensure payroll processes align with company policies and applicable laws. The Senior Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding data integrity, ensuring employees are paid correctly, and delivering exceptional internal customer service.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience in a multistate environment; healthcare or nonprofit experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage/hour laws, and tax compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with employees at all levels.
