THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a talented and detail-focused Senior PCB Designer to join our Devices Team. In this role, you will design printed circuit boards for Gallagher’s cutting-edge security products, helping ensure manufacturability, compliance, and robust performance at scale.
You will work closely with Electronics Engineers, production specialists, and suppliers to develop, review, and refine PCB layouts that meet stringent standards for signal integrity, EMC, thermal management, and more.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing multi-layer PCBs for mixed domain embedded devices using Altium Designer
  • Performing detailed placement and routing with attention to impedance, power planes, signal integrity, EMC/EMI mitigation, and mechanical constraints
  • Ensuring compliance with international standards such as IPC-2221, IPC-7351, RoHS, and UL
  • Producing complete fabrication and assembly documentation for prototype and production builds
  • Managing PCB CAD systems, including creation and maintenance of component libraries and footprints
  • Leading design reviews and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement PCBs into manufacturing
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship across the team
  • Liaising with suppliers to evaluate fabrication capabilities and ensure timely procurement
