Position Overview The Senior PEO Benefits Administrator serves as the primary benefits resource for clients, overseeing the full lifecycle of benefits administration within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) environment. This role owns Open Enrollment strategy and execution, ensures compliance with ACA and COBRA, and acts as the escalation point for complex client issues, while partnering closely with Account Managers to ensure retention and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Open Enrollment planning for clients including timeline development, employee communications, and post-OE audits. Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate plan setup and rate implementation in the benefits administration platform. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for ACA reporting and compliance, including 1094/1095-C filing, affordability calculations, and employer mandate tracking. Stay current on legislative changes impacting ACA and COBRA and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive benefits issues from clients, employees, and carriers. Coordinate with Account Managers on client communications, renewal preparation, and cross-departmental projects. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of benefits administration experience, preferably in a PEO, ASO, or multi-client environment Demonstrated expertise in ACA compliance and COBRA administration Proficiency with benefits administration platforms Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex compliance topics for non-expert audiences Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications CEBS, CBP, or other relevant benefits certification Experience managing benefits for employer groups of 50+ employees across multiple lines of coverage (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary)
