Join Lepaya! As the Senior People Business Partner at Lepaya, you will be the main HR partner for our business, supporting around 80 employees across all functions. You'll do more than support managers; you'll help shape the people and organizational decisions that enable Lepaya to achieve its ambitions. By translating business priorities into workforce plans, team structures, and talent strategies, you'll ensure we have the right people, capabilities, and ways of working in place to succeed. You'll stay close to the business, understanding both current challenges and future needs, while helping leaders make thoughtful decisions on growth, performance, development, and organizational change. Your goal is to build teams that can perform today while creating a strong foundation for the future. Key Responsibilities Business Partnering & Organizational Development Develop and co-execute a clear workforce strategy to ensure teams stay aligned with business needs Partner with leaders on team effectiveness, performance, engagement, and organizational design Translate business goals into people's priorities and workforce plans Coach managers on leadership, performance, and team development Help teams and individuals navigate changes in strategy, structure, or leadership with clarity and empathy Support managers in preparing and delivering change communications, while offering employees a steady, honest point of contacts Share insights from your teams and contribute to broader People projects like engagement follow-up, development programs, and org-wide improvements Employee Relations & Performance Management Lead complex employee relations cases, including performance concerns, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts Partner with managers to address people challenges in a timely and effective way Manage investigations and ensure compliant case handling and documentation Work closely with external legal counsel when needed People Processes Drive key people processes, including performance reviews, salary reviews, promotions, commission plan, and other talent discussions Identify development opportunities and support employee growth Ensure consistency and fairness across people practices and policies Work closely with the broader People team: Talent Manager, People Ops, and Head of People, to ensure a seamless experience across the employee lifecycle What you’ll bring 7+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering or a similar senior People role Strong experience managing complex employee relations and performance cases Solid understanding of Dutch employment law and HR best practices Experience working with external legal counsel on employment matters Comfortable operating as a standalone HRBP in a fast-paced environment Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills Able to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach Fluent in English; Dutch is strongly preferred Your first-year achievements Trusted advisor to leaders and employees across the business Complex employee relations cases are handled effectively, compliantly, and with successful outcomes Managers feel confident managing performance and people-related challenges Organizational changes and transformation initiatives are implemented successfully Core people processes are executed consistently and on time Teams remain engaged, productive, and aligned with business priorities Why you’ll love this journey at Lepaya A challenging role in a vibrant international scale-up Our work-to-live scheme, which prioritizes health and wellbeing Unlimited holidays and Lepaya Fridays; every other Friday, a day for yourself Flexible hours and a hybrid working arrangement, we expect you to work from our office at least 3 days a week Work from anywhere for 8 weeks/year Access to Empowr, our well-being partner Lots of opportunities to learn and grow, including internal career development: Access to our Lepaya Academy to help you upskill An internal hiring program to help you advance Our mission At Lepaya, we empower professionals to thrive in their careers and lead happier lives, helping businesses reach new heights.
