Summary of This Role The Senior People & Culture Advisor plays a critical role in supporting Global Payments Oceania by providing best practice HR expertise across all core people domains. This includes employee relations, learning and development, engagement, coaching, talent and succession, reward and recognition, conflict management, operating model optimisation and change management. The role ensures leaders and team members are supported with timely, practical and commercially-sound people advice that aligns with our border business priorities. Salary The range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation. ABOUT THE ROLE Provide advice and counsel to Oceania people leaders on management and general employment practices, performance improvement, employee relations, compliance, leave management, workplace injury & illness and other areas of HR operations in support of business objectives. Assist people leaders in providing team members with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards. Develop and promote ongoing feedback mechanisms for team members to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes. Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence and diversity, equity and inclusion, in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results. Contribute to cross functional HR initiatives and projects, balancing business unit and enterprise needs - aiming for global consistency with regional delivery. Investigate and resolve team member concerns while functioning as a culture champion and advisor to leaders. Analyse and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g. compensation, job levels, leave, performance, DE&I and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to stakeholders. Leverage knowledge of HR policies and HR programs to identify gaps or areas for improvement, enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Partner with the Business Unit HR Business Partners to understand their assigned business units’ strategic objectives and provide regular feedback on identified issues related to the Business Unit. Work closely with HR Leaders, HR Compliance, and Legal Counsel on team member matters to ensure Company and team member compliance. Manage WH&S compliance and incidents. Provide expert advice and coaching to team members when appropriate. Interpret and stay on top of legislative changes considering impacts to the business and the change management required to ensure the business is not only informed but also compliant. Manage Employee Relations cases and support. Facilitate and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Responsible for confidential and/or sensitive HR records, ensuring these are maintained, updated and secured according to legislative and organisational requirements. Conduct annual remunerations reviews and assist in maintaining the People budget across Oceania in conjunction with the P&C team. Manage internal and global mobility including managing visa and sponsorship process with support from legal advisers. Other duties as reasonably requested by Global Payments. ABOUT YOU Proven experience (4+years) in a Human Resources generalist position with a good understanding of employment law, performance management and compensation (P&L). The ability to develop trusted relationships, partner with organisational leaders and collaborate at a senior management level; Highly organised, proactive with strong analytical, communication, numerical and problem solving skills; Team player who advocates on behalf of local and global P&C; Experience or willingness to drive projects and work with global teams to support/assist global projects; Ability to work productively in high pressure situations and deal with ambiguity, take on feedback, adapt to change, accept new ideas and challenge respectively; Experience in or willingness to deliver inductions and small group training, and Comfortable working in a lean structure, have strong ethical and moral standards, self-motivated and be willing to assume personal accountability. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Management or any other relevant qualification.
