The most exciting thing about working at emnify is that we are just at the beginning of our journey. We are constantly developing our culture, people and our business approach further. Our guiding principles are driving transformation, customer centricity and empowering people. If you share our vision to unlock the potential of connectivity in a people focused culture that gives you the chance for impact, growth and to be successful together, we would be happy to join us.
Your Role:
As a Senior People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in scaling our People Ops function as we grow. This is a new position on our People Operations team, reporting to the Team Lead, Sarah. You’ll join a close-knit, distributed team with two colleagues and take ownership of complex People processes, compliance, and systems.
This role is based in Berlin, with an average office presence of 3 days per week. You’ll build and refine high-impact processes that ensure a smooth and thoughtful employee experience across the full lifecycle.

Your Impact:

  • Optimize and scale People processes (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, contract management, payroll) to support company growth and ensure an excellent employee lifecycle experience to foster a positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Independently manage and oversee the creation of complex employment contracts, amendments, and addendums in line with local and international legal requirements.
  • Leverage our HR technology to generate insights into people practices and support strategic workforce decisions.
  • Oversee and ensure quality of global payroll preparation in close collaboration with external payroll providers.
  • Support and mentor team members, ensuring consistent documentation and knowledge sharing within the People Operations team.

Your Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level). Portuguese is a strong nice-to-have.
  • Strong People Operations experience in international, fast-paced environments in a senior or project lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law and familiarity with international regulations. Solid experience collaborating with external payroll providers and Employer of Records.
  • Strong proficiency with modern HR technology platforms to streamline workflows. Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
  • Good analytical skills to derive insights from HR data and inform strategic decisions.
