Overview The Senior People Partner (India) is a senior, strategic HR leadership role responsible for partnering with business leaders to design and deliver people strategies that enable business performance, growth, and organisational effectiveness. The role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business strategy into practical people plans across workforce planning, organisation design, leadership capability, talent, performance, engagement, and change. The role also provides people leadership and oversight for People Partners / HR team members aligned to business in India, while collaborating closely with global HR colleagues and Centres of Excellence. This role operates in a complex, fast paced, and regulated financial services environment and requires strong commercial acumen, influencing capability, and the ability to lead through change.   Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic People Partnership * Partner with Business Units senior leadership teams in India to shape and deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives and global priorities  * Act as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders on leadership effectiveness, team health, succession planning, and organisational capability * Anticipate people‑related risks (talent, capability, engagement, compliance) and proactively develop mitigation strategies * Translate business and financial drivers into workforce, talent, and organisation design decisions. * Lead organisation design, workforce planning, and talent planning activities for Business Units in India, supporting growth, transformation, and productivity goals  * Partner with leaders on role clarity, span of control, and operating model effectiveness * Support business transitions, restructures, and change initiatives with strong change management discipline Talent, Performance & Capability * Oversee delivery of the full employee lifecycle across Business Units, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning * Partner with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to address current and future capability needs * Drive leadership and critical role development in alignment with global frameworks and local business needs Employee Experience & Engagement * Champion a strong employee experience across Business Units, embedding inclusive leadership, engagement, and wellbeing practices * Support leaders in interpreting engagement survey insights and implementing targeted action plans * Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes People Leadership & HR Governance * Provide people leadership, coaching, and direction to People Partners / HR team members supporting Business Units in India  * Ensure consistent, high quality people partnering delivery aligned to enterprise standards and policies * Collaborate with global HR colleagues and Centres of Excellence to deliver cyclical and strategic HR activities (e.g., remuneration reviews, engagement surveys, policy deployment)  Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement    * Leverage HR data and insights to inform decision making and provide value adding recommendations to business leaders * Identify emerging people trends and apply innovative, practical solutions to address workforce challenges * Drive continuous improvement in people partnering processes, practices, and stakeholder experience Governance & Risk  * Lead effective risk management and compliance practices across the India Hub Group Functions  * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies in all HR practices. * Play a lead role in periodic audits of HR processes to identify and mitigate risks associated with talent management practices. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR-related legislation and best practices within the financial services industry.
