IF YOU KNOW SOME OF THIS, EVEN BETTER:
- Performance Monitoring Setup: Experience setting up performance monitoring using Grafana, APMs, or other tooling.
- Experience with Locust
- E-commerce Expertise: Proven experience in performance testing and analysis of e-commerce applications, preferably with platforms like IBM WebSphere Commerce, SAP Hybris, or Magento.
- Continuous Delivery Integration: Experience implementing performance testing in a continuous delivery environment.
- Development Languages: Exposure to Java or PHP.
- Frontend Performance Analysis: Experience with front-end page load analysis, profiling, and optimization using tools like WebPageTest, PageSpeed Insights, SpeedCurve, or sitespeed.io.

In our Lisbon or Porto office, you’ll join a team of other specialists who are always ready to help each other. The team is part of our Enterprise Solutions network and works in coordination with our Local and EMEA client leads.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive performance engineering strategy, encompassing testing, monitoring, and optimization.
- Defining and implementing performance testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Locust, JMeter).
- Leading performance testing efforts, including workload modeling, test execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Conducting root cause analysis of performance issues and collaborating with development teams to implement solutions.
- Mentoring junior performance engineers and fostering a culture of performance excellence.
- Working closely with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Driving the adoption of best practices in performance engineering and staying abreast of industry trends.
- Contributing to the design and architecture of high-performing and scalable systems.
- Working with APM tools like DataDog, GCP, and potentially Grafana/New Relic to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Defining and implementing observability requirements.
- Leading efforts to optimize cloud costs associated with performance testing environments.
