Working time model: Full-time
Work location: Mannheim (DE)
Job description:
Driven by a passion for a secure life – that's what the INTER Insurance Group has stood for for many decades.
Would you like to become part of this success story and take your next career step with us?
Then join our team at our headquarters in Mannheim.
You're not just a number here! Here, you're valued as a person:
Our "Operational Units" division brings together the activities of currently over 400 colleagues (m/f/d) from our six customer-facing areas. In this role, you will act as a staff member of the Head of Operational Units and co-pilot of operational management.
Do you thrive on variety? Your responsibilities:
- The core of your role lies in developing and establishing an integrated performance management framework, as well as defining KPIs, target systems, benchmarks, and control mechanisms.
- You will leverage lateral leadership and your expertise to guide the operational units without exercising disciplinary responsibility.
In addition to operational controlling, you will create rolling forecasts and support the early detection of risks, inefficiencies, and structural deviations, as well as the derivation of concrete action options for management and operational leadership.
You are not afraid to challenge the transparency, traceability, and reliability of figures and decisions, and you moderate performance dialogues with department heads on equal footing.
In short, you act as the central interface between top management, controlling, and operational units.
Intrigued? Your profile:
A degree in business administration or a comparable qualification forms the basis of your success.
However, more important to us than a specific degree are demonstrable successes in operational performance management—not just in financial controlling.
Furthermore, you have several years of experience with target systems, KPI frameworks, OKRs, or similar management approaches.
In addition, your previous experience in data-driven and performance-oriented industries will be beneficial. Nevertheless, you are able to empathize with the requirements of the insurance industry or ideally possess experience in the insurance sector or other highly regulated environments.
Personally, you have excellent communication and assertiveness skills, even when dealing with experienced managers.
Interested? Your benefits:
- Competitive compensation in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the private insurance industry, including vacation and Christmas bonuses
- Flexible choice of work location within Germany with up to four home office days per week
- 30 days of annual leave plus two additional days off (December 24th and 31st)
- Option to convert special payments into additional vacation days
- Company bike leasing program
- Flexible working hours (38-hour week) including time account
- Modern INTER fitness facilities with a wide range of cardio and strength training equipment
- On-site company restaurant with a daily selection of fresh and healthy meals
- Numerous development and training opportunities
- Friendly and family-like working environment
