JOB OVERVIEW

The Senior Personnel Officer will work with the Operations and Communications team to ensure smooth and compliant recruitment, onboarding, records, training, and grievances processes. We are seeking a highly organized and skilled person to support the effective management of personnel processes across the organisation. The candidate will have strong HR qualifications, excellent IT and communication skills, and a thorough understanding of employment law and HR best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • HR Qualifications.
  • Strong IT skills including email & communications, word processing and spreadsheets, and using personnel management software. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience of using HR software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law and human resources best practice.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution experience.
  • Full UK driver’s license.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £21,295.00 per year
    Expected hours: 21 per week

Responsibilities
  • Help with safer recruitment including assisting with sifting applications, arranging interviews, and assisting with onboarding and contracts.
  • Ensure accurate employee records including maintaining the Single Central Record in accordance with legislation.
  • Ensure accurate records of sickness and holiday.
  • Ensure accurate training records, help identify training and CPD requirements.
  • Support the Heads of Centre with performance management.
  • Manage and update personnel policies and procedures.
  • Work with Personnel Officers to manage employee relations including queries and concerns.
  • Work with Personnel Officers to investigate grievances and disciplinary matters and working with the organisation’s legal counsel make recommendations to the Board.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure payroll is accurate.
