  • Appropriate Qualification in Pharmacy
  • Registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Recent experience in hospital pharmacy practice
  • Ability to work independently, on your own and as part of a team
  • Experience with iPharmacy
  • Sound knowledge of Commonwealth and NSW Pharmacy and Therapeutic Goods legislation and relevant statutory requirements applicable to the practice of Pharmacy and the handling of pharmaceuticals in NSW public hospitals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve
Responsibilities

This permanent part-time Senior Pharmacist (Grade 3) role is four days per week (preferably Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday) and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Hospital Pharmacy Service at Greenwich and Neringah Hospitals, and other HammondCare Health & Hospital sites if required.
In performing their duties the Pharmacist will be required to work in accordance with established procedures at each site and be able to use judgement and discretion about work organisation. The person employed in this position must operate in a manner consistent with Pharmacy department policies, practice standards and legislative requirements.

The essence of this role is to provide pharmacy services to the patients and staff:

  • Distribution -Accurate and timely provision of medications for inpatients, outpatients and at discharge
  • Clinical -Provide clinical pharmacy services to ensure quality use of medications by patients and staff
  • Education - Provide appropriate education to patients and other staff about medication
  • Research and training -Participate in research and training to improve medication knowledge and use
