Senior Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Admin at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Additionally, our Rehab Center is nationally ranked by UDSMR and accredited by CARF for outstanding rehabilitation programs. The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Diploma or GED Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License Minimum of 2 years (>4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification, OR 3 years (>6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification. Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR). Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians) Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances) Why Join Providence?
