EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The Senior Physiotherapist will:

  • Manage, participate and play a key role in the practice education of student therapists in partnership with universities and clinical educators.
  • Teach, advise and supervise junior staff including participation in in-service training.
  • Participate in teaching programmes for other professionals and ancillary staff.
  • Lead, promote and ensure clinical effectiveness of the physiotherapy service through performance management, education, audit and research
  • Be a resource of speciality advice within the hospital.
  • Take responsibility for, and keep up to date with physiotherapy practice by participating in continuing professional development such as reflective practice, in service, self-directed learning, research, clinical audit etc.
