About Us

VM Physiotherapy provides home-visiting physiotherapy services across Victoria, supporting clients in their own environments. The experienced team works with individuals living with neurological conditions, disabilities, and transport accident injuries, including acquired brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, concussion, vestibular conditions, and Parkinson’s disease. Services are delivered in homes, residential care facilities, gyms, pools, and other community settings as agreed with clients. All therapists have at least 15 years of physiotherapy experience and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary allied health teams. The organization is committed to delivering caring, efficient, and expert physiotherapy services for complex client needs.

Role Description

The Senior Physiotherapist role is a subcontracting mobile position focused on providing high-quality home and community-based physiotherapy services to clients throughout Victoria. You will be working on the road seeing clients in their home and community and not in a clinic environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing clients with complex neurological and disability-related conditions, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, and monitoring progress over time. The role involves conducting visits in clients’ homes and community settings, educating clients and caregivers, and coordinating care with other allied health professionals. Duties also include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, contributing to case conferences, and supporting best practice and safety standards. The Senior Physiotherapist is expected to work independently while upholding VM Physiotherapy’s values of compassionate, efficient, and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

  • Professional physiotherapy competence, including strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation skills, particularly for neurological and complex disability presentations.
  • Experience delivering home and community-based physiotherapy services, with the ability to work autonomously in varied environments and manage a mobile caseload.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, families, and caregivers, and to collaborate with multidisciplinary allied health teams.
  • Ability to maintain detailed, accurate clinical records, follow clinical governance and safety protocols, and use digital tools for scheduling and documentation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current professional registration with AHPRA, and eligibility to work in Australia and residing in Victoria.
  • Demonstrated experience (senior-level) in managing complex neurological and rehabilitation cases; community or disability sector experience is highly advantageous.
  • Commitment to person-centered, evidence-based practice, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive, non-discriminatory care for diverse client populations.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to attend client visits, plus capacity to work flexible hours as required by client needs.
