About the role Lead the delivery of physiotherapy services within the Mobile Rehabilitation Team (MRT), providing high-quality, evidence-based care to acute inpatients with Rehabilitation needs. Plan, coordinate and implement rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with ward physiotherapists, multidisciplinary team members and other clinical stakeholders to optimise patient outcomes. Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to junior physiotherapy staff and students, promoting professional development, safe practice and adherence to professional standards. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of MRT physiotherapy services through the collection and analysis of activity data, clinical outcomes and service performance indicators, using findings to drive service improvement initiatives. Contribute physiotherapy expertise to multidisciplinary planning, quality improvement and research activities, supporting service development, innovation and best practice within acute rehabilitation. Provide specialist advice and consultation on rehabilitation programmes for acute inpatients, guiding patient management across the hospital, local health district and other relevant facilities. Support professional, organisational and patient standards through participation in training, departmental committees, workplace health and safety initiatives, infection control and compliance with hospital policies and professional codes of practice. About you Current Australian Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and extensive experience in acute and inpatient rehabilitation, including medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, neurology and orthopaedic patients. Holds a degree or diploma in Physiotherapy with proven experience in the clinical management of complex acute and rehabilitation inpatients. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also operating autonomously with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and lead physiotherapy services, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care and continuous improvement. Strong ability to share expert knowledge and provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to junior staff to enhance professional development and service delivery. Why work at St Vincent’s?
