Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG). PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.   As a key member of our piping engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering project outcomes that meet scope, cost, and schedule expectations. You’ll scope piping and valving requirements, prepare detailed technical specifications and datasheets, and contribute your expertise to both 3D models and 2D drawings, including P&IDs and isometric designs. Your analytical strengths will shine as you perform calculations for pipe selection, support engineering, and pipe stress analysis, all while ensuring the highest standard of deliverable quality. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, collaborate with an experienced Lead Piping Engineer, and help shape innovative, high‑impact project solutions.   You bring to the role: BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering Registration as a professional engineer (preferred) Ten years’ engineering experience in mining and metals projects. Experience with detailed engineering and EPCM projects. A focus on Technical excellence Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with distributed teams Working knowledge of industry standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the piping engineering discipline Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team   Why join us?
