As a Senior Pizza Chef , you will play a vital role leading their kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards in pizza preparation, quality control, and team performance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience in a professional kitchen is a strong advantage
  • Additional training in food safety, sanitation, and high-volume cooking is preferred
  • Solid experience in the food industry, including both front- and back-of-house operations
  • Proven ability to handle large group catering and high-volume orders efficiently and accurately
  • 1-2 years specialising in the pizza industry, including dough handling, flavour balance, and high-quality assembly techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Pizza Preparation & Quality Control: Assemble pizzas with precision, maintaining consistent flavour, texture, and presentation according to recipes.
  • Stock Management & Rotation: Manage dough and ingredient inventory, ensuring proper rotation and dough preparation 72 hours in advance.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure full compliance with HACCP and Irish food safety standards; maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Menu Development: Contribute to new pizza creations and seasonal offerings, reflecting customer feedback and food trends.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting high standards in pizza-making and food handling.
  • Oven Operation: Operate and maintain ovens (wood-fired, gas, or electric), ensuring optimal temperature and performance.
  • Order Coordination: Oversee kitchen workflow and ticket timing, especially during peak hours, to ensure timely service.
  • Supplier & Cost Management: Liaise with suppliers, monitor ingredient quality, and support cost control by minimizing waste.
  • Equipment & Kitchen Care: Maintain and clean all kitchen tools and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Customer Feedback & Quality Assurance: Respond to food-related feedback and make necessary improvements to uphold food quality standards.
