Parramatta Location – 50% office attendance Ongoing Full Time Opportunity Clerk Grade 9/10 - $129,464 - $142,665 plus superannuation   Your role As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for undertaking and supporting Homes NSW’s planning approvals, providing planning advice, reviewing the impact of Government planning policies and housing policy initiatives on Homes NSW’s property portfolio, and managing consultants as required.   What you’ll do   Working closely with the team, the responsibilities of this role include: Reviewing planning assessment reports and packages to ensure they comply with planning legislative requirements, planning policies and Homes NSW requirements Fast tracking social housing approvals by implementing government policy to increase the quality and quantity of social housing dwellings in NSW Preparing Review of Environmental Factors, Statement of Environmental Effects and other planning reports Managing Part 4 and Part 5 approvals through the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) to enable the efficient delivery of Homes NSW’s strategic objectives and developments Providing accurate and timely technical planning advice to internal and external stakeholders, providers, contractors, and consultants Ensuring business practices, systems and processes are fit for purpose and in line with current legislative, policy and professional standards and those procedures reflect best practice planning for Homes NSW Undertake site inspections and community engagement   What we’re looking for   The essential requirements of this role are: Tertiary qualifications in urban/regional planning or related discipline or equivalent planning experience. Eligibility for membership of a relevant industry association. The role may involve travel both locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business and/or directed.
