Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family Mō te tūranga | About the role We’re looking for a Senior Planner to join our Auckland-based Civil Construction team, leading scheduling across a strong pipeline of current and upcoming key infrastructure projects for the region. This will also have you taking part in the ECI phase of a significant $400m Auckland project, helping shape the programme early and set the job up for success from the outset. This role suits someone who enjoys the detail but can also see the bigger picture. You’ll build and refine programmes, coordinate inputs, manage planning requirements and help keep delivery moving. Your planning background will have a strong portfolio of Civil and Structural Infrastructure projects backed up by proficiency in the planning system Primavera P6. Key role responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project programmes (Primavera P6 / MS Project) Build and manage baseline schedules, critical path analysis, and milestones Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to align planning activities and delivery timeframes. Support resource planning, sequencing and work pack preparation to keep projects running smoothly. Spot planning risks, constraints and opportunities early, and work with the team to respond in a practical, timely way. Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for stakeholders Support tender planning, methodologies, and staging plans Analyse resource allocation, productivity, and sequencing of works Ensure alignment with contract requirements Champion safe, efficient and compliant planning practices across the project lifecycle. We’re looking for someone with: Hold 10+ years as a Civil Planner / Planning Engineer in infrastructure projects valued over ($100M) Strong background in rail, water, wastewater, pipelines, bridge, structures / heavy civil Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project Strong exposure to planning, scheduling, and reporting tools Strong exposure to construction methodologies & sequencing, cost, programme, and risk management Ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ko wai mātou | About us At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is what we do and how we do it.
