We’re working with a leading land development and planning consultancy to find an experienced Senior Planner to join their Hamilton team. With a strong pipeline of work and a brand-new office opening soon in the city, this is an exciting time to come on board. About the role You’ll be managing your own projects end-to-end – from resource consents to plan changes – and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality planning outcomes. The work is varied and fast-paced, spanning land development, land use, and infrastructure projects across the Waikato and beyond. You’ll also play a key part in supporting junior planners, sharing your expertise, and helping to maintain a collaborative, high-performing team culture. This role is based in the office, so we’re looking for someone who values face-to-face teamwork and enjoys contributing to the daily rhythm of the team. What we’re looking for You’ll be a confident, self-sufficient planner who can hit the ground running and deliver great results for clients. You’ll bring: 10+ years’ planning experience within consultancy (NZPI full membership an advantage) Strong understanding of planning processes and the RMA Excellent communication, report writing, and client relationship skills The ability to manage multiple projects and mentor others when needed A current NZ Driver’s Licence Why you’ll want to join You’ll be joining a well-established consultancy that’s known for delivering complex, high-profile projects – and doing it with a great team spirit.
