SENIOR PLANNER

We’re looking for a Senior Planner to join our MEP business, Kier Mechanical & Electrical.
Kier Mechanical & Electrical work in partnership with the Regional Construction business to deliver full design, construct and commissioning of MEP systems.
Location: London.
Hours: Full time, Permanent with flexible working options.
This role will be working across a range of projects and so will require some travel to visit your designated sites.

As a Senior Planner within our MEP business, key accountabilities include:

  • Programme Development & Maintenance – Create and manage a projects MEP programmes using Elecosoft PowerProject and/or Primavera P6, ensuring compliance with Kier’s Planning Standards and contract requirements.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting – Track project progress through site visits, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Risk & Delay Management – Identify potential risks and delays, collaborating with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Programme & Supply Chain Reviews – Analyse subcontractor programmes, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaboration & Lessons Learned – Lead coordination meetings, communicate key insights, and share lessons learned to improve project planning and executio
