To meet this opportunity, our Planning Assessments team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated standards and policy specialist to ensure the capability of planning assessment staff is developed in response to changes to the planning related framework.

We’re looking for someone with:

• degree level in Planning, Engineering or Architecture or related discipline
• experience in the assessment and resolution of complex planning, sustainability issues associated with development applications, preferably in local government
• ability to review and understand planning legislation, and develop appropriate assessment responses.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and criminal history check.
