Description

DESCRIPTION

What we do really matters. That’s why Stantec provides solutions that begin at the intersection of community, creativity and clients.

ABOUT US

The Stantec community unites over 30,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents. We collaborate across disciplines and industries to bring water, transport and infrastructure projects to life. Our work from initial project concept and planning through design, construction and commissioning is built on a nearly 200-year history. So, when we take on a project, we see the opportunity to make a lasting connection with the people and places where we live and work.

Responsibilities

Our team of planners, landscape architects, environmental scientists, stakeholder engagement consultants and engineers plan, design and deliver
the infrastructure and places that make our communities great. From critical infrastructure to urban streetscapes, Plan reviews to urban regeneration
strategies, our planning work has a real impact on people’s lives.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Planner to join our Wellington office, as an integral part of our national Community
Development team. With your proven track record in providing excellent professional planning services, support and advice with a focus on quality
and reliability, you will work on a range of projects for our diverse public and private clients across New Zealand.
As a Senior Planner, you’ll be involved in interesting and meaningful projects around the country, help to identify and win opportunities to work with our
clients, and support our team’s outstanding culture.

This varied and exciting role involves:

  • Leading and delivering projects across the full Planning spectrum, working with the rest of our Planning team, and collaborating with our broad range of technical specialists from other disciplines
  • Providing expert evidence at Council hearings or Environment Court hearings
  • Leading and/or supporting community and stakeholder engagement
  • Thought leadership and sharing your knowledge of statutory planning with others in the Planning team, and our colleagues from other disciplines
  • Identifying and leading the development of new business opportunities for Stantec, with full support.
