An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Senior Planning Manager to join our growing team at SNG! We’re a leading Housing Association with 85,000 existing homes and ambitious plans to deliver 25,000 more over the next ten years and are looking for a driven planning expert to play a crucial role in our success and make a real impact.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Comprehensive understanding of the planning environment, including established and emerging policy.
• Track record of advising development professionals on residential and residential-led planning applications leading to successful consents and an optimized position for the developer.
• Experience of working closely with planning professionals across the private and public sectors and leveraging those contacts to good effect.
• Significant experience in the housing sector, a track record of taking projects from conception to acquisition, appointing and managing consultant teams to secure new opportunities.
• Track record of building relationships with stakeholders and partners with the ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes.
• Clean driving licence with access to own vehicle.

You’ll be a key player in our development team, guiding new projects from conception to completion. This isn’t just about managing applications, it’s about shaping our future. You’ll lead on planning strategy, manage risks and collaborate with our Land and New Business, Regeneration and Major Projects, and Delivery teams to bring fantastic new homes to life. We need someone who can expertly navigate the planning environment across London and the Northern Home Counties, negotiate S106 agreements, and build strong relationships with local authorities and consultants.
