Description
Ameron pole Products, an Arcosa subsidiary, is currently searching for a Sr. Plant Accountant, in Anniston, AL. The Plant Accountant will provide leadership and coordination of all business segment financial decisions and product line analysis, assure financial reporting accuracy and will be the business partner for the Plant Manager, Corporate VP of Finance, and other key leaders for all strategic decisions for Ameron's Anniston plant. Ameron Pole Products is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc., headquartered in Dallas, TX.  We are a growth-oriented manufacturer of infrastructure-related products and services with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets. Ameron is an AWS and AISC certified fabricator of self-supporting towers, guyed towers, monopoles, tower modification packages and miscellaneous structural tower components.   What You’ll Do:  * Enhance reporting content and processes to ensure that reporting meets the business needs and is produced efficiently * Coordinate the month-, quarter- and year-end closing and reporting activities for the business * Streamline current process and identify process improvement opportunities to automate * Prepare detailed variance analysis and partner with finance members to research issues and present findings to leadership * Coordinate the preparation of financial forecasts * Prepares financial reports for internal use at the company by collecting, analyzing, formatting and presenting information * Supervise accounts payable and invoicing activities * Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts * Perform monthly KPI’s to review with operations team & business unit management * Assist internal and external audit by providing the requested information as needed * Analyze and document current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practices * Special projects and other duties as assigned    What You’ll Need:  * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR equivalent experience in manufacturing/cost accounting * Minimum of 7years of experience in finance/accounting (Cost Accounting experience in Manufacturing highly preferred) * Track record of process improvement, simplification and streamlining financial processes * CPA or CPA candidate preferred * Experience with various systems and financial reporting tools (Oracle, On, JobScope, Power BI, GL Wand/Reports Wand) * Advanced Microsoft Excel and data modeling skills * Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment * Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to interface with business leaders * Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects * Working knowledge of GAAP * Extensive knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis   Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
