We are seeking a talented individual to join the Advisory – Valuation Services Practice at Marsh. This role will be based in Sandton, Johannesburg, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. In order to support the ongoing growth of Marsh Valuation Services Practice (VSP) both nationally, and throughout Africa and the Middle East (MEA), we are seeking a Senior Valuations Consultant to join our Sandton team’s Plant & Machinery Valuation unit. We are specialists in valuation of property, plant and equipment assets throughout the MEA region (with a global reach). The role will see you contribute to the Plant & Machinery valuation team within VSP while undertaking valuations across MEA for a range of purposes. We have a strong focus on financial reporting and insurance valuations with no reliance on bank panels or mortgage valuations. This role would suit a driven, growth focused individual with experience in undertaking valuations across a range of industries, who is looking for an opportunity to grow within business with the support of a major global organisation. We will count on you to Mentor junior valuers. Providing skills transfer and overseeing consultants’ growth and career progression. Taking valuation projects with the support of the team. Maintaining and enhancing internal processes and procedures. Leading projects, whilst working on valuations and asset related projects and providing sign-off on valuation outputs for the Plant & Machinery. Developing new business and managing client and internal stakeholder relationships to enhance renewal business and source opportunities. Enhance reporting and expand our current service offerings. Local and international travel for projects, client commitments and strategic purposes. Ability to manage a team, project manage engagements and ensure client deadlines. What you need to have College/university diploma or degree or equivalent work experience MRICS/ASA qualification / SACPVP / Engineering background preferred Minimum of 5+ years Plant & Machinery valuation, or relevant experience Valuation for insurance, market value, fair value and other popular requirements. Experience with plant & equipment Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. Comfortable and experienced working with technology (solutions).  Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong numerical skills Excellent organization skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a team. Networking skills A track record of business development.
