Three full-time positions available with the Water Department, Wastewater Treatment Division, located at 7300 Hawthorne Rd.
Salary Range: $23.98-$36.60/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. or Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., 3:00p.m.-11:00p.m., 11:00p.m.-7:00a.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRES high school graduation and possession of a B-level operator certification in water/wastewater issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Must possess a valid State-issued driver’s license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination.

• Assigns work and participates in sampling, process control tests, check and operating equipment, line valves, evaluating unit process performance and maintaining a lean and safe work environment.
• Evaluates laboratory results and operational data to determine the condition of processes and makes process control decisions, including changes in chemical dosages, filter operations and sludge wasting rates.
• Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and line valves by writing Work Orders for preventive maintenance and repair work.
• Maintains accurate, complete, up-to-date operational records.
• Troubleshoots problems with equipment and processes.
• Trains Plant Operators and PO Trainees in plant operations and maintenance and safety.
• Uses computer for SCADA system, telemetry, factory talk and power BI.
• Performs related duties as required.
