We seek a skilled and ambitious Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Team. The team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Azure-based platform, which serves as the backbone for all product teams within the organization. The ideal candidate will deeply understand infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native operations, focusing on enabling product teams to develop, test, deploy, and operate their services efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Software Engineer.
• Good experience with managing infrastructure through code.
• Proficiency in a programming or scripting languages like Bash, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Golang, and similar.
• Strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER

• Maintain and improve our Azure runtime, ensuring high availability, scalability, observability and security across all environments.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions that enable automated testing, integration, and deployment of services across multiple environments.
• Work closely with product teams to understand their needs, providing guidance and support in deploying and operating their services on the platform.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure all platform infrastructure and operations adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

A TYPICAL DAY IN THE ROLE

You will work in a team with highly skilled members of different platform engineering capabilities such as infrastructure development, SRE and problem solving.
As we work at several locations, we often meet on Teams. For weekly standups or whenever we need or want. Everyone is helping where it is needed with solutions and knowledge. Our colleagues from our office in India also visit the Norwegian offices on a regular basis.
