IN THIS ROLE

As a Senior Platform Engineer within the Business Banking Gen AI team, you will be working alongside CommBank’s global engineering community to use AI assisted tools and capabilities to build and support business banking functionality.
Here you will be building and supporting platforms that are data-driven and customer-centric, fostering that culture within the Group.
This role will also include an on-call requirement rotating on a weekly basis within the team to own resolution of any critical issues, ensuring the seamless operation of our systems, products and platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ALSO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Experimenting with emerging AI assisted engineering tools and cloud services, providing feedback and insights from real world testing
• Building platforms and tools to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns
• Collaborating with the team to tackle complex technical problems, contributing to design and implementation to ensure quality engineering outcomes
• Delivering robust and reusable solutions that integrate seamlessly into other teams’ workflows and products
• Actively participating in code reviews, maintain high quality code bases and assist in documentation for knowledge sharing
• Work on cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment and addressing inter-dependencies
