SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Hands-on experience in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with exposure to on-premise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security best practices, and DevSecOps principles.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly regarded, especially with regulatory and compliance exposure.
• Proficient in CI/CD and automation tools and practices, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS), containerisation, APIs, and microservices.
• Practical knowledge of Chef or Ansible, and patching strategies inclusive of SBOMs.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile, cross-functional teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise environments. Working with some of our largest enterprise banking clients, you’ll contribute to cloud architecture, DevSecOps pipelines, and automation initiatives, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimisation of hybrid cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem environments.
• Support the execution of cloud and DevSecOps strategies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
• Work hands-on to deploy, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, and engineers to deliver fit-for-purpose cloud solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Implement and manage Configuration Management tools such as Chef or Ansible, and contribute to patching strategies, including Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs).
• Follow and promote best practices in cloud governance, operational resilience, and secure design.
• Work within agile delivery teams, contributing to sprints, retrospectives, and collaborative planning sessions.
