Description
Title: Senior Platform Manager (Enterprise SaaS) Location: In Office, Bangalore Type: Full-Time The Role We’re looking for a Platform Manager who can bring structure to chaos. You’ll be defining the specs, juggling two customer-facing co-founders to get alignment on what gets built with a clear why. You’ll ensure everything in the backlog is well-groomed, technically feasible, and mapped to real customer pain points as seen by different teams — so that engineers can build fast and correctly the first time. The negative KR is the number of releases by the engineering team that get stuck in the beta environment because of a lack of stakeholder alignment. This means you’ll do a bit of everything: write specs, talk to customer-facing teams, jump into QA, and argue for clarity when others want speed. We have structured this in Responsibilities and Accountabilities, where responsibilities is your personal day-to-day while accountability is to get it done by other folks in the company. Responsibilities Own and groom the platform backlog across core modules, integrations, and infrastructure initiatives. Work with customer facing teams (CS, Sales, etc) to translate customer feedback into prioritized roadmap items. Write clear, actionable, detailed specs and structured user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can directly execute against. Ruthlessly prioritize—decide what can make it into the sprint and what can’t. Build with enterprise customers in mind—permissions, audit trails, versioning, and configurability should be first-class citizens. Learn and internalize compliance expectations (21 CFR Part 11, ISO 13485, SOC 2). Keep an eye on the competition and best practices from top-tier B2B SaaS players. Accountability Partner with Product Marketing to ensure positioning aligns with how the product actually works. Keep Sales and Support in the loop when platform behavior changes. Maintain internal product documentation and decision logs (the “why” behind each feature). Keep traceability between specs, tickets, and release notes intact. Skills & Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in a Product, Engineering, or QA coordination role (enterprise SaaS preferred). Strong enterprise product understanding—comfortable discussing best practices in how enterprise products are made, almost having a bias for boring things like bulk actions over zazzy UI Excellent written clarity—able to write specs that reduce back-and-forth. Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, or Testomat.io. Ability to work in ambiguity—where the right next step is something you define. You’ll Love This Role If You: Get energy from bringing order, clarity, and consistency. Think in systems and dependencies, not isolated features. Are comfortable being the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and QA. Want to learn how a full-scale enterprise SaaS platform is built from the inside out.
Responsibilities
The Senior Platform Manager will own and groom the platform backlog, ensuring alignment with customer needs and technical feasibility. They will also write detailed specs and prioritize tasks to facilitate efficient engineering processes.
