Senior PMO Financial Analyst Location – Goulburn St, Sydney CBD Employment type – Temporary Full-time for up to 12 months Salary – $129,464 -- $142,665 p.a. plus superannuation and leave loading Your role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PMO Financial Analyst to join our Portfolio Management and Assurance team within Courts, Tribunals and Service Delivery. This role is pivotal in managing the financial governance and administration for a portfolio of projects, primarily within IT infrastructure. You will provide expert financial analysis, planning, and performance tracking to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. What you’ll do As the Senior PMO Financial Analyst, you will Oversee and manage project financial services including accounts payable/receivable, month-end processes, and audits. Review forecasts and expenditure, prepare monthly financial reports, and provide executive-level analysis. Coordinate preparation and submission of project budgets and forecasts. Prepare month-end journals, accruals, adjustments, and change requests. Act as the escalation point for project finance queries and provide guidance to project managers. Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with departmental policies, and maintain accurate project cost structures. Conduct financial health checks and implement best-practice financial processes to reduce risk and cost. What we’re looking for Strong experience in project financial analysis, planning, and performance tracking within a complex PMO or program environment. Proficiency in SAP and financial systems. Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment while delivering accurate and timely advice. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Essential Requirements CPA or CA qualification (mandatory). Solid understanding of financial policies, processes, and internal controls. Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements. Download the role description.
