THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced PNT systems, ensuring precise and reliable performance in various applications. A focus will be on GNSS receiver and sensors supporting PNT, assessing performance, developing algorithms, and integrating hardware and software components into PNT systems. A broader understanding of satellite navigation, sensor fusion, and timing technologies will be applied to ensure resilient PNT technology across the PNT portfolio. This will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a cross-functional engineering team to support product development, new business opportunities, and low-level technology readiness assessments and developments. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the development and application of PNT algorithms and the deployment on an embedded hardware platform.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Ph.D. in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Science or related field, Physics or Mathematics with a focus on signal process, algorithm development and/or optimization. Master’s Degree preferred
• 4+ years of related experience in PNT technology required
• Proficiency with GNSS system and technology
• Understanding of GNSS receivers and software defined radios
• Experience with signal processing, control systems, optimization and error correction algorithms
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB
• Familiarity with simulation tools and platforms for PNT system testing and validation
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• The ability to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
• Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients.
• The person in this position needs to have an ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DOD clearance. Documented active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher highly preferred.
