POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is seeking a motivated professional to serve as a Senior Policy Advisor for Housing. This position will play a crucial role in addressing homelessness prevention and housing related issues in Illinois at the cross section between health and housing. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, this position will help drive innovative policies and partnerships, strengthen the development and operations of housing services within Medicaid, and assist in developing pathways for sustainable funding. This position will also be affiliated with the Office to Prevent and End Homelessness (OPEH) and will work with other state agencies to implement the Home Illinois Plan.
