We provide high quality policy advice to the Ministers and government to inform the decisions they make on the health portfolio at a system level. We are looking for a Senior Policy Analyst to join the Investment and Budget Strategy team. The team’s focus is to lead advice on health system investment priorities. This will be an opportunity to help influence investment decisions through the annual Budget process and examine some of the more fundamental funding settings that drive expenditure in health. In this role you will: Develop advice to the Minister of Health on investment priorities and funding sustainability Lead thorough assessment of value for money and investment readiness Support the development of the Vote Health Budget package Advise on the overall funding approach for Vote Health Work with internal stakeholders and health entities on Budget and investment-related matters to ensure advice supports quality financial decisions Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring Strong experience in NZ public finance systems/budget process; in policy, government processes; and political structures Highly developed written and oral skills, numerically proficient, with high skill level in Excel and similar tools Commitment to delivering high-quality services and outcomes with a collaborative approach Proven stakeholder engagement and able to build effective relationships across diverse teams An understanding of both operational and capital investment would be an advantage Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
