About the role:
The Senior Policy and Engagement Officer will join the office of the National Health Practitioner Ombudsman (NHPO)’s policy and communications unit. The Senior Policy and Engagement Office will provide authoritative, evidence-based advice and lead the delivery of office policy and reviews projects.
The role works closely with our subject matter experts to lead responses to emerging regulatory issues, including submissions on areas of relevance in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (the National Scheme). This requires an ability to quickly understand complex issues and relevant state and federal legislation.
About us:
The NHPO’s primary role is to provide oversight of bodies in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, including the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra), the 15 National Health Practitioner Boards and accreditation organisations.
