What you’ll be doing:

As Senior Policy Manager you will support the development and implementation of our policy and stakeholder engagement plan, representing Veolia on external industry groups and ensuring our voice is heard.

  • Oversee processes and procedures to track external policy and legislation developments.
  • Identify and track external requests (e.g., consultations) and support drafting high-quality responses.
  • Develop and lead on positioning Veolia as a thought leader on key subjects.
  • Author powerful and impactful positions and drive these through skilled stakeholder engagement.
  • Foster strong internal relationships to provide support and guidance on current and future policy.
  • Use exceptional influencing skills to steer internal and external decision-making.
  • Act as a key contact for the business on policy and stakeholder engagement across all relevant policy areas.

What we’re looking for:
Essential:
An experienced professional with knowledge of the policy and legislative landscape, particularly in the resources and waste sector. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, and be highly organised with ability to prioritise across a number of areas. Ability to pick out key information and develop high quality briefings. A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
