Description

We are seeking two Senior Policy Officers to deliver high-quality policy research and advice that supports transparency, consumer protections and affordability in Victoria’s energy retail market.
In this role, you will lead the development of evidence-based policy and provide clear, well-structured advice to support decision-making. You will independently undertake complex research and analysis, while also identifying and responding to current and emerging issues in a strategic and planned way.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong policy development and implementation skills, excellent written communication and organisational ability, and the capacity to prioritise and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes. Proven critical thinking ability and experience working within government processes are also essential.

SPECIALIST/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in economics, law or an energy-related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience with government processes and operations in policy development and delivery is desirable.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with electricity and gas retail markets and energy retail pricing is highly desirable OR consumer energy frameworks and protections.
