Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL GET TO…

  • Project Financial Management:


    • Monitor and track project budgets, forecasts, and actuals, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals. Analyse financial performance, providing insights to Project Managers (PMs) for proactive decision-making.

    • Collaborate with finance teams and PM’s to resolve discrepancies, forecast future project financial needs, accruals, good receipting, invoicing and journals to ensure financial transparency across all projects.
    • Cross-Functional Project Support:


      • Provide ongoing support to multiple Project Managers across various projects and Assist PMs in risk management by providing data-driven insights and solutions.

      • Facilitate managing SOW, Creating PO’s, resource allocation, on boarding, offboarding, access management and ensuring that teams have the necessary support to meet project requirements.
      • Tool Management (Jira & Confluence):


        • Manage and maintain Jira and Confluence to ensure project tracking, reporting, and documentation are up to date. Customize Jira boards, workflows, and reporting features to enhance project tracking and team collaboration. Maintain Confluence spaces, ensuring accurate documentation of project plans, progress, and meeting notes for cross-functional teams.

        • Reporting & Documentation:


          • Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, Steerco Packs including status updates, financial reports, risk assessments, and resource allocation summaries. Document key decisions, project changes, and action items in Confluence for transparency and accountability.

          • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and resource management documentation.
          • Continuous Improvement:


            • Actively contribute to improving project management processes and methodologies. Identify and implement process improvements for project tracking, financial oversight, and team collaboration. Support the integration of new tools and technologies into project management practices.

            WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE…

            • Deep experience in project management or project analysis roles, with a focus on financial management.
            • Proven expertise in Jira and Confluence, including customization and reporting.
            • Strong experience supporting cross-functional teams, including project managers and financial stakeholders.
            • Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and financial reporting processes.
            • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
            • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
            • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
            • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
            • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to offer solutions in a timely manner.
            • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field. PMP or other project management certifications - Highly Desirable
